Girish shoots into lead
MANGALORE: Girish A. Koushik shot into sole lead with six points, beating Antonio Vianni D'Cunha on the top board in the sixth round of the state sub-junior FIDE rated chess championship here on Monday.
On the second board game, D.Yashas beat Deski for his fifth point, while Nihal Manjunath defeated Anishcharith. Yashas, Antonio Vianni D Cunha and Nihal are in the second spot with five points apiece.
In the girl's under-15 event, Vannssa D'Souza outplayed Andria D'Souza to lead the table with four points after four rounds.
