44,000 hectares crop submerged

HYDERABAD: About 44,000 hectares of crop was submerged due to recent heavy rain and floods in the State. Agriculture Minister N. Raghuveera Reddy who reviewed crop damage with department officials on Monday said in a release that according to preliminary estimates crops were mostly damaged in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Adilabad, Warangal, Khammam, Karimnagar, West Godavari and East Godavari districts.
