Brand Bodhi back in city

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: Brand Bodhi from Baroda is back in Bangalore. Well-known for their timeless collection in silk and other natural fibres, Bodhi has another exquisite sari collection to offer this time.

Mala Sinha, the designer behind the label, brings block printed and embellished saris in tussar, pure kota, Maheshwaris as well as a small collection of stoles and bags. These saris have been created by a team of inspired artisans, dyers, printers and embroiderers led by her at the studio workshop in Baroda.

A unique feature of Ms. Sinha's works is the use of sustainable methods and processes which involve extensive use of solar energy, rainwater harvesting and treatment of waste water.

As for the designs, she creates motifs, forms and patterns with an Indian ethos, making the saris distinct, contemporary and classic at the same time.

The saris are available at Basava Ambara, 93, Kanakapura Road, Basavanudi, Bangalore, from August 12 to 14, between 10.30 a.m. and 7 p.m.
