Indian squad for Youth Olympics

NEW DELHI: India will send a 48-member contingent, including four officials, for the inaugural Youth Olympic Games (YOG) to be held in Singapore from August 14 to 26.

Promising tennis player Yuki Bhambri will be the flag-bearer of the Indian contingent at the opening ceremony. Durga Das Boro, Chairman, Press and TV Commission, Indian Olympic Association (IOA), will be the chef de mission.

The squad: Archery: Atanu Das, Seema Verma, Coach: Dharmendra Tiwari; Athletics: Durgesh Kumar Pal, Arjun, Kuldeep, Inderjeet Patel, Khushbir Kaur, Coach: Rajinder Singh Saini; Aquatics: Arhantha Magavi, Aaron Angel D'Souza.

Badminton: Sairaneeth, Haseena Sunil, Coach: P. Gopi Chand; Basketball: Amit Kanarjee, Shyam Sunder, Kirti Goswami, Sukhjeet, Coach: Sridharn Shanmugam; Boxing: Vikas Krishan, Shiva Thapa, Coach: G. Manoharan; Judo: Neha Thakur, Subhash Yadav, Coach: Suman Gogi; Rowing: Nimmy Mulackal Thomas, Mitali Sekhar, Yasin Khan, Gurpreet Singh, Coach: Ratheesh Kumar Devi Balan; Shooting: Neha Milind Sapte, Ruchi Singh, Navdeep Singh Rathore, Coach: Deep Bhatia.
