Queen's Baton rally poster released

VIJAYAWADA: District Collector Peeyush Kumar on Friday released the poster of the Commonwealth Games Queen's baton rally which will be held in the city on August 17.

Speaking to mediapersons, Mr. Peeyush Kumar said efforts were being made for the successful conduct of the event.

“There is a modification in the route of the rally. Instead of proceeding to Ramavarapadu ring, the rally would enter Ramesh Cardiac Hospital Road and reach Karl Marx Road through ITI, Amma Kalyana Mandapam, Moghalrajapuram and Chuttugunta,” he said.

VMC Commissioner G. Ravi Babu, District Sports Development Officer B. Sudhakar and SAAP Regional Deputy Director K. Chinnaiah took part in meeting.
