STUNT GOES WRONG:NTR Junior coming out of KIMS Hospital in Secunderabad after being treated for injury on his forehead while shooting for the film ‘Brindavanam' on Friday.

HYDERABAD: Film star NTR Junior sustained injuries while shooting a fight scene for a Telugu film ‘Brindavanam' around 11 a.m. on Friday.

He was rushed to the Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, where he was given six stitches on his forehead, just above the left eye. He was in the middle of a fight sequence that involved the use of several thick ropes that had metal hook-like fixtures attached.

One of the fighters in the scene accidentally let go of the rope that then swayed dangerously, hitting the star.

The film is being directed by ‘Munna'-fame Vamsee Pydipalli, who could not be reached for comment. Doctors who treated the actor advised him a week's bed rest and after administering medicines, discharged him. On coming to know of the accident, dozens of fans reached the hospital and tried in vain for a glimpse of their favourite star.

Telugu Desam Party president N. Chandrababu Naidu wished the star a speedy recovery.
