Jammu: ‘Maa Ni Mildi', the first Dogri movie in colour, has been released here over the weekend. It is the second Dogri movie to hit the theatres after three decades. The first movie in Dogri language, ‘Gala Hoyian Beetiyan', was released way back in 1980. The movie was released at a function at Apsara theatre by the Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Raman Bhalla. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Bhalla appealed to the people to visit the theatre and see the movie with their families so that youngsters get aware of the traditions, culture and heritage of the region. The film starring local artists has been directed by Roop Sagar, who was a close associate of renowned director Hrishikesh Mukerjee. - PTI
