Industrial fair begins today

Kozhikode: The consumer industrial fair under the aegis of the Department of Industries and Commerce, to begin here on Sunday, will showcase diverse products of public sector undertakings and industrial cooperative societies in the State.

District Industries Centre (DIC) general manager B. Sivaprasad said it was for the first time the products of different PSUs were being showcased in a festival fair.

The fair titled ‘COIN-2010' will be inaugurated by Industries Minister Elamaram Karim at Government Model Higher Secondary School grounds here at 3 p.m.

Handicrafts Development Corporation, Subhiksha, Cashew Development Corporation, Handloom Development Committee, Forest Industries (Travencore) Ltd, RUBCO, KELTRON, HANTEX, SIDCO, COIRFED, Bamboo Corporation and Pharmaceutical Corporation LTD (Oushadhi) will be some of the firms participating in the fair.
