A film, made entirely by newcomers, portrays teens' trauma. THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: “ Plus Two is a film that tells the story of teenage friendship and love at an immature age,” director Shebi said about his debut film released recently. At a Meet-the-Press organised by the Trivandrum Press Club here on Sunday, Mr. Shebi said that Plus Two was made entirely with a crew of newcomers, both behind and in front of the camera. “I have done advertisement films before but this is my first feature film. This is a pure commercial film about a group of youngsters,” Mr. Shebi said. Producer of the film Ramesh Babu, scriptwriter Jain George and actors Justin, Roshan and Vishnu also took part in the programme. Mr. Ramesh said the film was a venture by a group of friends. “Though the initial feedback has been good, lack of proper publicity is affecting the film,” he said. “Although we are newcomers, we have had good support from senior artistes in the industry. But we had trouble finding theatres. Depending on the initial report only shall we get support from theatres in other stations,” Mr. Ramesh said. Mr. Jain George said that the film has portrayed a teenage love story in a different angle. “The film is an entertainer and is meant for the new generation,” according to lead actor Roshan. Lyricist Rameshan Nair's son Manu Ramesh has composed music for the film.
