KAKINADA: District Collector M. Ravi Chandra on Monday advised people not to neglect fevers, but take immediate treatment from the nearby primary health centre. Interacting with the public as part of the weekly ‘Praja Darbar' (grievance cell) programme here, Mr. Ravi Chandra observed that people from flood-affected areas were complaining of fevers, cough and cold. Stating that said there was no instance of swine flu in the district so far, he advised people visiting long distance places and coming back to their native place to go for a medial check up. He answered 23 phone calls and asked the officials concerned to address the problems. Meanwhile, the district registered a total rainfall of 937.2 mm during the day. Mandapet mandal registered the highest rainfall of 100.4 mm, while Sankhavaram and Kajuluru mandals registered the lowest rainfall of 1 mm each.
