Orientation programme for BJP workers in Shimoga

Special Correspondent

SHIMOGA: State BJP president K.S. Eshwarappa has said that his is the only one that arranges orientation programmes for them regularly.

He was addressing party workers after inaugurating the orientation programme here on Monday.

He said, “Many of the party's leaders may have died, but their commitment to the party still remains green in our minds as the guiding principle.” It was the responsibility of the present leadership of the party to make party workers appreciate them and serve the party with a sense of commitment, he added.

Referring to the need for banning cattle slaughter, Mr. Eshwarappa said that it was a longstanding demand. “But those who cannot appreciate the underlying importance of the ban are opposing it for the sheer political reasons,” he said.

The president of the district BJP unit and MLC, R.K. Siddaramanna, presided over the function.
