VIJAYAWADA: The Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) organised a free mega medical camp at Urdu School at Wynchpet here on Tuesday. Some 503 people attended the camp. As many as 47 people were treated for fever and the remaining for general ailments.
The medical officials took blood smears from the patients, and sent the same to laboratory for conducting tests for malaria and other seasonal diseases, according to Chief Medical Officer of Health M. Satyanarayana Raju. The mega medical camp was organised at Wynchpet in view of surge in malaria cases in the surrounding areas, he said.
