Teachers booked for ‘assault'

ADILABAD: The Adilabad One Town police on Wednesday registered a case against three teachers of Government school at Palli B in Talamadugu mandal for assaulting one of their colleagues on Tuesday.
According to police Ch. Sharat Babu, a Hindi pandit at the school was beaten up by headmaster K. Gajanand, Srihari Babu and Vivekanand Swamy accusing him of instigating students against them. Vivekanand Swamy, who went to school on Wednesday was confined to a class room by students and villagers who came to know of the assault on the Hindi Pandit. Though, the teacher was released by the police from his confinement, the students and villagers complained to Collector P. Venkateswarlu and urged him to solve the problem in their school.
