For a fair deal:Andhra Bank officers and employees participating in a dharna in front of the Bank's Zonal office in Vijayawada on Wednesday as part of a nation-wide strike call. VIJAYAWADA: An all India employee strike of Andhra Bank was observed on Wednesday. Supported by the All India Andhra Bank officers Federation (AIBOC) and All India Andhra Bank Award Employees Union (AIBEA) the strike was against the anti-employee polices of the management. City employees took out a rally in front of the zonal office as part of the one-day strike all over the country, around 16000 employees have participated in the protests, said Zonal Secretary P.V.V. Ramana. The demands by the employee associations include solving of the long pending problems, new recruitments, regularising the temporary employees and payment of the pending arrears. If the demands not met by the management we will forced to go strike again on September 28, 29 and October 1 said the leaders. AITUC state secretary Lakshminarayana, general secretary AIBOC P.Sathish Babu and others were present at the protests. Around 400 employees from all over the district have been participated in the protest programs.
