Case booked against encroachers

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: The Shankarpally police on Thursday booked a case against unidentified persons for trying to encroach three acres land belonging to Telugu film actor Srikanth's relatives at Sultanpally in Ranga Reddy district.

Around 30 persons claiming themselves as activists of TRS and Congress forcibly entered the land and erected flags even though workers tried to prevent them. They allegedly threatened workers with dire consequences if they failed to leave the premises. Based on a complaint lodged by Srikanth's relative Shantala, police registered a case and are trying to trace the encroachers.
