Exciting win for BEML

Mysore: BEML Ltd. (Mysore) registered an exciting one-run win over Friends United Cricket Club in a low-scoring pre-quarterfinal tie against Friends United Cricket Club at PET grounds, Mandya on Thursday.

The scores: At Mandya: BEML Ltd. (Mysore) 133 in 45 overs (Murali Mohan 25, Prasanth three for 15) bt FUCC 132 in 37.3 overs (M.R. Vinay 31, Manjunath 27, M.S. Ravindra three for 31, Mahendra three for 35).

At Mysore: Vijaya Cricketers 154 in 44.5 overs (N. Krishna 42, G. Kalyan five for 20, M. Manjunath three for 32) lost to Jayanagar CC 155 for three in 19.5 overs (Prakyath 69 n.o., Gautham 68).

The Mysore Gymkhana 224 in 47.2 overs ( Uttam Raj 76, Somashekar 59, Tejpal 31 n.o.) lost to Professional CC 210 for six in 44.2 overs (Harish 73, Raghavendra 39 n.o., J. Suchith three for 33); rain stopped play, Professional CC declared winner on better run-rate.
