HYDERABAD: Congress MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy has lodged a complaint with the AICC leadership against what he felt was a systematic campaign by a section of the party leaders to show late Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy in poor light. Irked by attempts to belittle his father and family, he first met Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Thursday night and, on his advice, interacted with Mr. Moily on Friday. The two meetings came in the backdrop of feverish activity in New Delhi in the last two days when eight Congress MLAs from Prakasam district met the central leaders only to be told to keep away from ‘Odarpu yatra' commencing in Prakasam from September 3. The statement of Union Minister D. Purandeswari that the Congress MP had not adhered to the advice given by the party chief also prompted him to meet the leaders. Mr. Jagan is reportedly believed to have asked whether YSR family had become unwanted for the Congress now. In particular, he informed Mr. Mukherjee about some disparaging remarks made by a senior AICC leader against his father. Meanwhile in Tirupati, the Kadapa MP's uncle Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy lashed out at the Daggubati couple for what he called their ‘over-action' and questioned their contribution to the ruling party.
