Onam offer from BSNL

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: All IPTV connections from BSNL can be taken at a special Onam discount of Rs.1,000 at the ‘mega mela' now on at 35 customer service centres in Thiruvananthapuram district.

The installation charges for the set-top box will be Rs.1,250, instead of the usual Rs.2,250, according to a press release issued in Thiruvananthapuram here on Friday.

Free SIM cards

Mobile phone SIM cards—2G and 3G—costing Rs.20 and Rs.59 will be given free of cost at the mela.

All data cards will be given a discount of eight per cent, while all recharge coupons, top-up cards and special tariff vouchers will be given a four per cent discount.

All fresh land phone connections will be given a gift of ITC cards worth Rs.200.

Broadband connections

The installation charges for fresh broadband connections will be waived during the mela which will conclude on August 22.

Unlimited browsing for 15 days will be allowed free of cost for such connections. Prepaid broadband connections with speeds of 2 Mbps and with 17 GB free download for one year can be had for Rs.3,000 including tax, the release said.

Recharge coupons

Recharge coupons of Rs.250 will have a validity of 365 days and will have a talk value of Rs.250, instead of the usual Rs.40.

Subscribers paying in advance a year's rental for land phones will be able to use the phones for two years with 50 free calls a month.

This will translate to a saving of Rs.2,382, the press note added.
