Guntur
Guntur: NCC cadets attending the Combined Annual Training Camp conducted by 23 AP Battalion NCC, Chirala, took out an awareness rally on sea water farming on Saturday. The rally was flagged off by Col. ASN Rao, Commander, NCC Group HQ, Guntur. On the occasion, Col. Rao said despite formulation of ideas by various world bodies for environmental protection there has not been an appreciable change in the level of awareness. The need of the hour was to educate the public and make them aware of their right as citizens of this country to a clean environment, lean water, clean air and clean surroundings. Camp Commandant Lt. Col. Paramjit Singh said sea water farming enables growing of plants directly over sea-water which perhaps is the only unlimited natural resource. It is also an ideal insurance against increase in sea level.
