MapmyIndia launches Maps Version 5.0

NEW DELHI: MapmyIndia on Monday launched the latest version of its maps, GPS navigation and location-based services and also introduced voice guidance and instructions in eight Indian languages besides English. “Our latest maps release — MapmyIndia Maps Version 5.0 — gives house address maps in Delhi and Chandigarh, while it will soon cover other cities too,” said MapmyIndia Managing Director Rakesh Verma.

The latest version makes possible door-to-door navigation to residential house addresses, local businesses, offices, apartments and tourist places.

It also includes a large directory of 30-lakh places, highly detailed street-level maps for over 809 cities of India and all-India coverage connecting 76,000 towns and villages by over 10-lakh km of highly accurate, updated and fully navigable highways and road network, Mr. Verma said.

Mr. Verma also said that MapmyIndia Maps powered market-leading mobile, tablet and in-car GPS .
