BANGALORE: India Possible emerged as champion in the first all India women's rugby 7's Invitational tournament with a facile 15-0 victory over India Probables in the final here. Kalpana of India Possible was adjudged as ‘most valuable player' of the tournament. Earlier in the semifinals, India Possibles defeated Bangalore 27-0 and India Probables beat Jungle Crows 32-0. The tournament featured the top eight teams in the country including Bangalore, Pune, Jungle Crows (Kolkata), Mumbai Police, Mumbai Combined, Chennai, Indian Probables and Indian Possibles. The ‘India Probables' and ‘India Possibles' teams comprised players who are in contention for berths in the national squad for the Asian Games scheduled to be held in November.
