MEG runs riot

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: MEG, Bangalore scored an easy 5-2 win over Golden Threads, Kochi and entered the semifinals of the Municipal Golden Jubilee all-India invitation football tournament at the Lal Bahadur Stadium here on Monday.

The outstation side was always in firm control of the proceedings and proved its proficiency through Lokeshwar Singh (20th minute), Ajiraj Philip (48th), Ngurneial (63rd and 70th) and Ramu (86th) while the Kochi side was helped by Samir (44th) and Sanju (87th).
