Make stand clear, KCR tells Naidu

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao has asked his Telugu Desam counterpart N. Chandrababu Naidu to submit a letter to Srikrishna Committee supporting separate Telangana or else, he said, the TDP would be doomed in the region.

Addressing a meeting at TRS office on Monday evening, Mr. Rao said nothing could rescue TDP from losing ground in Telangana unless the party approached the committee with a positive stand on Telangana. He counselled Mr. Naidu that the latter could not fool the people of the region repeatedly with double standards on the issue of separate Telangana. Mr. Rao also asked Mr. Naidu not to justify his failure to submit the report to the panel because the Congress did not do so. He added that thousands of supporters of TDP were joining TRS from all Telangana districts because they were disgusted with the leadership for not taking a pro-Telangana stand.
