Investiture ceremony at Nasr Boys School

HYDERABAD: Nasr Boys School, Gachibowli conducted its 13 {+t} {+h} Investiture Ceremony on August 13. Surinder Kumar Manchanda, Commandant of AOC Centre, Secunderabad attended as the chief guest and administered oath to the student leaders, School Captain Mir Jamaluddin Hammad, Vice-Captain Saif Mohammed Khan, Sports Captain Salman Hyder and house captains. Fasiuddin Shoeb, school topper in the ICSE Board Examinations—2010 was awarded Nawab Mir Muzaffar Hussain Khan gold medal for securing 94 per cent in the board examinations.

Army School

Army School, R.K. Puram celebrated Investiture Ceremony for the academic year 2010-11 on July 31. The newly appointed council members were administered oath by Colonel V.V. Rao. The contingents from four groups Tulsi, Meera, Rahim and Kabir performed march-past.

Maharishi

Tree plantation was taken up by the Maharishi Vidya Mandir at Kondapur to mark the I-Day celebrations.

SPS High School

Students and staff of SPS High School, Kompally, run by Siva Sivani Educational Society kick-started the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the school on August 5. P. Ranga Reddy, Regional Manager, The Hindu was the chief guest and unveiled the logo.

Geeta High School

Geeta High School celebrated Independence Day with patriotic fervour by organising singing, speeches and cultural programmes.
