Social networking to scout for change drivers
Staff Reporter
Bangalore: With the influence of social networking sites on a rise, ‘The Urban Edge', a citizen's initiative, will launch the Civic Dialogue Initiative on Wednesday.
The social networking site aims to provide a platform to like-minded people to report on problems Bangalore is facing and strategies to solve the same.
As part of the launch, Civic Dialogue Initiative (CDI) has organised a symposium to edge on future change drivers by making already successful ones share their experiences.
The list of speakers include heads and founders of various non-governmental organisations (NGOs) with whom Civic Dialogue Initiative has tied up, such as Saahas, Rainwater Club, Clean Bengaluru, SayTrees and Indian Youth Climate Network (IYCN). Many competitions have also been organised to mark the occasion.
The launch will take place at Jaaga Creative Common Ground, Rhenius Street, off Richmond Road on August 25 at 5 p.m.
