Green drive in ANU today

Guntur: NCC cadets of 10 (A) Girls Battalion will undertake a tree plantation drive on the campus of Acharya Nagarjuna University on Wednesday.

The plantation drive was part of a massive initiative ‘My Earth My Duty' that was launched to mark the World Environment Day (June 5).

Under the aegis of the NCC Group Headquarters, Guntur, a drive to plant 8,500 saplings was launched.

The Forest Department agreed to provide the saplings.

NCC Group Commander A.S.N. Rao, Chief Conservator of Forests Anoop Singh, DFO Srinivasa Sastry, University Rector K.V. Rao and Commanding Officer of 10 (A) Girls Battalion S.P.S. Cheema would take part in the event.
