Starwood opens Aloft hotels in Chennai

CHENNAI: Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, Inc., which has reinvented hotel design with the debut of its newest brand, Aloft Hotels, has opened Aloft Chennai OMR-IT Expressway, the first Aloft hotel in India. A second Aloft hotel is scheduled to open next month in Bangalore. Urbanedge Hotels, a special purpose vehicle of Auromatrix Hotels Pvt. Ltd., plans to set up several properties of Aloft hotels in the country over the next few years, says a release.
