NIIT course for engineering students

Staff Reporter

Hyderabad: In an attempt to cater to specific skill sets required to get into the IT industry, NIIT launched a three-year GNIIT programme designed for engineering students on Wednesday.

Spread over six semesters, it can be pursued along with any engineering programme. “Students will undergo a rigorous and complete software development course followed by a six-month industry internship,” said Surojit Biswas, General Manager, NIIT, during the launch.

The course would deal mainly with Java and .NET, web application development and software testing and quality assurance.
