Appealing to the users to make use of the automatic ticket vending machines provided at the stations for purchasing tickets, he said use of the machines would not only reduce the queue but also save time for the passengers. He also gave details of the performance of the Division. He assured the participants that their demands would be given due consideration.
Requirements
The meeting discussed various requirements of rail users such as stoppage of trains, introduction of additional trains, vehicle parking, construction of road over-bridges, foot-over-bridges, additional counters etc.
Members of various organisations, chamber of commerce and nominees of MPs and divisional officers attended the meeting, according to a Southern Railway press release.
