Move against Haj committee

Staff Reporter

Kozhikode: The Jam'iyyathul Quzat Valmahallath, Kerala, the authorised association of Khazis and Muslim Mahallus in the State, is planning to move the High Court against the External Affairs Ministry and the Central Haj Committee for giving permission to private Haj tour operators to conduct the pilgrimage. It said private operators charged exorbitant fares from Haj pilgrims, which was over Rs.1 lakh charged by the government sector.

Association convener K. Noorudheen Musaliyar said the issue had been brought to the attention of the State government.
