Uddhav seeks removal of Chidambaram

Staff Reporter

Mumbai: The uproar in the Rajya Sabha over Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram's “saffron terror” remark was echoed in Maharashtra by Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray.

Criticising the Minister for his remark, Mr. Thackeray demanded Mr. Chidambaram's removal. “The person who doesn't understand the colour of terrorism should not sit in the chair of the Home Minister. The Congress should take his resignation immediately. We should not tolerate this word ‘saffron terrorism',” he said on Friday.
