Kumarans bags Cottonian Cup

Bangalore: It was the Sri Kumaran Public School (ICSE) team that emerged champions in the seventh edition of Exquizite, a national-level, inter-school quiz competition hosted by Bishop Cotton Boys' School here on Friday.
Athith and Shubham Nandi beat the host team of Rahul Chaudhari and Rudra Gopinath by scoring 55 points in the final round, walking away with a cash prize of Rs. 30,000 and merit certificates, along with the Cottonian Challenge Cup.
The first runners-up received Rs. 20,000 while the Frank Anthony Public School team, which came third, were rewarded with Rs. 10,000.
After the written preliminary round, the top 12 teams qualified for the finals, which comprised multiple rounds of quizzing ranging from oral to audio, visual and rapid-fire rounds by quizmaster Giri “Pickbrain” Balasubramaniam. A total of 397 teams from 52 schools from across the country participated in the seventh edition of the competition which is held every August.
