Musical tribute to Carlton victims

Staff Reporter

Bangalore: A musical tribute will be held for the nine young people who died in the Carlton Towers fire six months back.

The event is on August 28 at the Forum Value Mall, Whitefield, at 3.30 p.m.

Organized by Beyond Carlton, a group that includes the survivors of the tragedy as well as concerned citizens, the programme would feature nine all-time classics of John Lennon, Bob Dylan, Coldplay, U2, Parikrama and many more presented by Nitin Dubey and Navin Prabhakar.

Beyond Carlton seeks to fight for justice and create awareness on safety measures regarding fires in public spaces.

Candlelight vigil

It plans to also hold a candlelight tribute on August 28 to mark the completion of six months of the disaster. This event is also open to all.
