Survey to be conducted in villages from Sept. 1 Each sub-centre and PHC to get a code number VIZIANAGARAM: As a part of disease control measures, a team for each village with ANM as leader and Anganwadi and Aasha workers as members is being constituted to prepare a health status report of conceived mothers and children below five years of age. At a press conference on Saturday, District Medical and Health Officer J. Sarojini said that the teams would conduct a survey from September 1 to 4 in each village and enter details in a format which includes phone number and address. For the sake of easy tracking code numbers for each sub-centre and PHCs are being given. Based on the details health cards for mother and child would be prepared. A soft copy of which would be sent to the State Government to facilitate it to track health status of the conceived mothers and also that of children, Dr. Sarojini said. Training programme at selected PHCs would be conducted on August 30. Regarding seasonal diseases, she said that sporadic diarrhoea cases have gone up from 949 last week to 1025 till this week-end. However viral fever cases dropped from 16,521 to 13,629 and malaria positive cases from 74 last week to 71. K.N. Murthy, DCMS, S. Chandra Reddy, District Leprosy Officer and others were present.
