Pay tax through banks: Commissioner

Coimbatore: Tax payers can now give standing instructions to banks to remit property tax and water tax from their accounts directily to the Corporation. In a release, Corporation Commissioner Anshul Mishra said that at present people were paying their taxes in banks, tax collection centres and through online.

In order to ensure easy tax remittance directly from the bank accounts on April 15 and October 15, the tax payers could give consent/standing instructions to the banks. Necessary forms for the same were available at the tax collection centres, banks and zonal offices. The forms could be downloaded from the Corporation website as well.

The tax payers had been requested to fill up these forms, attach photostat copies of their tax books and hand over the same to the tax collection centres.
