KOZHIKODE: The Queen's Baton Relay, heralding the Commonwealth Games in October in Delhi, was accorded a warm welcome here on Monday, notwithstanding incessant rain. The baton was received at Ramanattukara in the afternoon by a team led by Industries Minister Elamarom Kareem. The baton then travelled to the city and its Kozhikode run came to an end at the Tagore Centenary Hall later in the evening. The relay featured several people's representatives, administrators and sports personalities, including Sports Minister M. Vijayakumar, Forest Minister Benoy Viswom, Sports Council president T.P. Dasan, District Collector P.B. Salim, O.M. Nambiar, Premnath Philip, K.P. Sethumadhavan, Tom Joseph, Sally Joseph, Aparna Balan, V. Sreenivasan and Arun Vishnu.
