VISAKHAPATNAM: The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has appealed to all its rural customers who were using the Fixed WLL Telephone connections, but voluntarily discontinued or connection stopped due to failure to pay bills, to return the instruments. The General Manager Telecom Nagaraju has appealed to the customers to contact the DE Central at Industrial Estate Exchange and get a receipt for the return of the instrument, so that their bills could be finalised. The DE could be contacted over No. 0891-2561599 to seek arrangement of collection of the instrument from the subscriber's premises with acknowledgement. Telephone cables The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has blamed Greater Visakha Municipal Corporation for digging up the telephone cables at several places in the city, which had led to several landline connections getting affected. It has appealed to customers to bear with them for two days as restoration works would take time due to bad weather. The areas affected are Opposite Ramatalkies, Siripuram –opposite Dutt Island, VIP Road Siddhartha Nagar, Balaji Nagar, Udyog Bhavan in Siripuram, Part of CBM Compund, and part of Andhra University area.
