Railways intensifies technical patrolling along Tirupur-Ingur
Staff Reporter
Tirupur: Chief Security Commissioner of Railway Protection Force (Southern Railway) G.M. Prabhu Rajasekhar Reddy said that the Railways have taken serious note of the incidents in which stones are found on the tracks in Tirupur district.
Investigation is progressing accordingly, even though the stones are not big enough to cause extensive damages, he said.
“As a precautionary measure, ‘technical patrolling' along Tirupur-Ingur stretch has also been intensified along with the regular open line patrolling by which gang-men were assigned additional shifts to periodically monitor the tracks for any technical fault,” he said.
Mr. Reddy was speaking to the reporters here on Thursday after carrying out inspection of track between Uthukuli and Vijayamangalam stations and then reviewing the investigation being carried out by the Railway Police into incidents in which trains hit stones and a concrete post kept on the tracks on Tuesday.
