Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI: In yet another case of children of Indian industrialists joining their family businesses, Shravin Mittal, son of Bharti Group's head Sunil Mittal, has joined the group's flagship company Bharti Airtel. He will play a key role in the company's expansion in the African market.

“Shravin Mittal has been appointed as manager with Bharti Airtel International (Netherlands) BV. He will be part of Bharti Airtel's international operations. His current remuneration will be euro 50,000 annually,” said a company statement.

However, the Bharti Airtel shareholders have approved for Shravin Mittal's appointment with an annual salary of up to euro 250,000 (about Rs.1.50 crore).

Prior to joining Bharti Airtel, Shravin Mittal was working with JP Morgan Cazenove in London as an analyst in the technology, media and telecommunications division of the company.

He was a member of pitch and execution teams advising on merger and acquisitions and restructuring transactions
