Woman, daughter run over

TAMBARAM: A woman and her daughter died on the spot when they were hit by an express train near Tirusulam railway station On Friday morning. Madathi (65) of Shankaran Koil in Tirunelveli district reached Tambaram along with her daughter Chellammal (45) and grandson Chelladurai (23) by Podhigai Express and reached Tirusulam by an electric train.

They were crossing the main line near Tirusulam railway station, when Madathi and Chellammal were hit by the Pearl City Express on its way to Egmore from Tuticorin.
