future scientists:The science exhibition in progress at Srinivasa Rao HSS, Thiruvaiyaru. THIRUVAIYARU: Students displayed over 120 scientific models on various topics at the 12th annual science exhibition held at the Srinivasa Rao Higher Secondary School, Thiruvaiyaru, Thanjavur district. K. Balasubramanian, former professor and head of the ENT Department of Thanjavur Medical College, inaugurated the exhibition. Dr. Balasubramanian gave useful tips on proper ENT care. Immediate and early intervention of ENT ailment was all the more needed to avoid complication. N. Rajendran, Headmaster of the school in his presidential address, explained the scientific developments taking place world over and how they helped in the overall development of the society. Models of DNA, cement factory, kaleidoscope, seed identifier, terrace garden, vermin compost, automatic night lamp, Bernoulli's model were on display. R. Dharmanandan, president, school's management committee, S. Ranjangopal, secretary of the school, T. Sivaprakasam, president of the Parent-Teachers Association, R. G. Raghavan, former headmaster, who offered felicitations appreciated the students endeavour in designing various models reflecting the applications of scientific principles. A large number of students from various schools situated in and around Thiruvaiyaru, including Government Girls Higher Secondary School, visited the exhibition.
