KOLLAM: The Fire and Rescue Services and local people, in a three-hour operation, rescued four construction workers who got trapped in a 10-foot trench at Sasthamcotta, near here, on Wednesday. They were at work near the Sasthamcotta railway station. An earthmover was in action close by. Loose earth caved in as soon as the workers entered the trench.
