Bangarappa's indisposition causes concern

GULBARGA: The sudden indisposition of the former Chief Minister S. Bangarappa while addressing an election meeting at Ganganagar in Gulbarga South Assembly constituency led to a minor commotion at the venue and concern among the Congress leaders on Wednesday.

Mr. Bangarappa, who was delivering a speech, stopped suddenly and showed signs of uneasiness. Party leaders rushed to him and made him sit on chair and gave him water. After about 10 minutes, Mr Bangarappa resumed his speech and declared that he was “hale and hearty”.

Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa, who was also in the city campaigning, and inquired about Mr Bangarappa's health with his ministerial staff.

Later, addressing presspersons, Mr. Bangarappa declared: “If I am not healthy, who would else be healthy in this hall… I was feeling uneasy because of some acidity problem… I am alright now”. He said he would be campaign for the party candidate in Kadur Assembly segment on Thursday.
