Vinod Gowda in quarterfinals

CHENNAI: Top seed Vinod Gowda entered the boys' quarterfinals with a 6-2, 6-0 win over N. Ram in the third round of the Servo-International Tennis Federation junior tournament.

State throwball

Hockey selection trials

The selection trials to pick the Tamil Nadu junior team for the National hockey championship to be held in Pune from September 20 will be held on September 12 at 6.30 a.m. at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Stadium. Players wishing to take part in the trials should bring age proof certificate.
