Convincing wins for Aditya Mehta, Arun
Pune: Aditya Mehta, M.S. Arun and Sourav Kothari registered convincing wins in their league matches of the National snooker championships at the P.Y.C. Hindu Gymkhana here on Thursday.
Mehta scored a break of 98 to beat Khizar Raoof 70-43, 94-2, 98(98)-0, while Arun defeated Aneesh Saini 3-1 with a century break.
Kothari scored a break of 95 to score a 95(95)-00, 69-39, 66-14 win over Neeraj Kumar.
Meanwhile, Manipur's R. Lalrinsanga continued with his splendid run, winning two back-to-back league encounters.
He scored a 65-13, 12-84, 69-14, 58-50 win over R. Loganathan before beating Mumtaz Ali by an identical scoreline to ensure a place in the knockout rounds. — PTI
