MAHABUBNAGAR: TDLP deputy leader and MLA from Nagarkurnool Nagam Janaradhan Reddy warned the government that they will lay size the district head quarters town of Mahabubnagar on Monday if authorities failed to supply required fertilizer to the farmers before Monday. Speaking to presspersons here on Friday Nagam Janardhan Reddy alleged that the government has miserably failed to supply fertilizer to the farmers in time and adopted indifferent attitude even after farmers organised protest demonstrations in villages and mandal headquarters. He said that the concerned officials have also failed in formulating proper plan regarding the supply of fertilizer to the farmers in the district. Due to the negligence attitude by the authorities, the farmers were forced to take up protest demonstrations and even at some places they looted the fertilizer bags, he said. Mr. Janardhan Reddy appealed the government not to project the farmers as thieves and not to register any cases against them. He strongly criticised the Minister for Agriculture, N. Raghuveera Reddy for keeping mum when the farmers are facing acute shortage of fertilizer. The TDP leader demanded Chief Minister K.Rosaiah to remove Agriculture Minister Raghuveera Reddy from the Cabinet as he failed to provide fertilizer to the farmers in time and he is the responsible for the present indifferent situation of farmers.
