GUNTUR: Over 300 students of final year engineering students of Vignan University, Vignan Lara Institute of Technology took part in the pre-Staff Selection Board session held by Indian Navy through its University Entry Scheme. Commander T.S.R. Nagesh and his colleagues Commander B. Ramesh and Lt. Commander Santosh Kumar conducted the sessions, and explained about the interviews and the selection process, which is a prerequisite for final SSB selection. Commander Nagesh, Recruitment Officer, Eastern Naval Command, Indian Navy, explained about the challenges and opportunities of working with Indian Navy. He said Indian Navy offers highly satisfying, challenging and rewarding career for the budding engineers, who aspire to design, develop and maintain world class precision machinery. Commander Nagesh also said Indian Navy offers excellent facilities for career advancement by promoting them for higher education. He advised the students to improve their English language communication skills both speaking and writing.
