HYDERABAD: Centuries by A.S.K. Verma for Andhra and Vidyut Sivaramakrishnan for Goa in different matches were the highlights of the second round of the Coromandel King All India Moin-ud-Dowla Gold Cup invitation cricket tournament here on Sunday. Verma's stroke-filled 114 (177b, 11x4, 4x6) helped Andhra score 323 against Vidarbha on the first day. He was given good support by Ajay Kumar who hit a half-century off 61balls (4x4, 1x6). In another match, Vidyut Sivaramakrishnan scored 112 (177b, 11x4) to help Goa post a challenging 330 for nine against Jharkhand. Regan Pinto 62 (135b, 5x4) and Rahul Keni (56b, 3x4, 2x6) were the other main contributors. The scores: Second round (First day): Tamil Nadu 246 in 86.3 overs (L. Surya Prakash 85, B. Aparjith 77) vs HCA Colts 14 for no loss in five overs. Rajasthan 299 in 88.3 overs (Aakash Chopra 56, Vineet Saxena 69, Robin Bist 46, Dishant Yagnik 67, Rohit Chowdhury three for 35, Piyush Chawla four for 88) vs UP 34 for no loss. Andhra 323 in 88.1 overs (D. B. Prasanth Kumar 39, L. N. Prasad Reddy 32, A. S. K. Verma 114, Ajay Kumar 50, Srikanth Wagh three for 60) vs Vidarbha.
