Raj Kiran puts on 101 runs for the fourth wicket with R. Vigneshwar Narayan, Sanjay, Sidhan also through to semifinals KOCHI: Raj Kiran's unbeaten century (103 off 100 balls, 6x6, 6x4) and medium pacer Sanjo's five wickets for 13 runs helped Idukki District Cricket Association crush Thrissur's Fancy Fabrics Challengers CC by 168 runs in a first phase first round match of the 60th Airtel Pooja all-India cricket tournament at the Tripunithura Palace Oval on Sunday. Raj Kiran along with left-hander R. Vigneshwar put on a 101-run stand for the fourth wicket which carried IDCA to a strong total. The scores: Idukki DCA 217 for five in 40 overs (Raj Kiran 103 n.o., R. Vigneshwar 38, Sandeep three for 15) bt Fancy Fabrics Challengers CC, Thrissur 49 in 25.1 overs (Sanjo five for 13) . Krishnan through At Thiruvananthapuram, the semifinalists were spotted in the boys' under-12 singles event of the 52nd K.G. Menon Memorial all-Kerala tennis tournament at the TTC courts here on Sunday. R. Gautham Krishnan, Ram Narayanan, G.S. Sanjay and Mohammed Sidhan completed the line-up. In the under-14 section, Varun Nair, Ram Prakash, Gautham Krishnan, Madhav Narayan Kumar, J.Nandu, Anirudh Jaindhan, Jithin George and Revanth Kishore Kumar moved into the quarterfinals. The results: Boys (under-12): Quarterfinals: R.Gautham Krishnan (Tvm) bt S.Sivasankar 7-0; Ram Narayanan (Tvm) bt Sean Micheal Jose (Tvm) 7-6; G.S.Sanjay (Tvm) bt Krishna Sai (Tsr) 7-1, Mohammed Sidhan (Tvm) bt J.Nithin (Tvm) 7-2.
