Two die in road accident

KANCHIKACHERLA: A father and his daughter died when a lorry smashed a mini van in which they were travelling at Paritala village on Sunday.

According to Kanchikacherla Sub-Inspector Y. Satya Kishore, K. Madhusudhan (45) of Gollagudem in Nalgonda town was coming with his daughter K. Sai Prasanna (16) towards Vijayawada in a mini van when the accident occurred. Madhusudhan was accompanying Sai Prasanna to college at Gollapudi.

A loaded lorry coming in the opposite direction hit the van with high speed. Locals immediately shifted the injured persons to hospital where the father and daughter succumbed to injuries. However, van driver escaped with minor injuries.
